The summer between my sophomore and junior years of college, I was chosen to participate in a study abroad program in Greece, in which my classmates from The Theatre School and I got to study theatre in its birthplace. Not only did we devise a show, based on a piece written by the past year’s students, but we got to spend two and a half weeks travelling to one of my bucket list countries.

The program included masterclasses from renowned Greek theatre artists and directors, acrobatics and yoga-centered movement techniques, as well as learning about and appreciating Greek culture, art, and architecture, not just its deep history in theater. The work was hard and grueling, but satisfying and one-of-a-kind. All of the thanks in the world to Jeff Mills, Michael Dias, and the whole team for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
